November 23 Jack's first weekOur first week was absolutely perfect! Jack met his Grandma Linda and Pops on the morning of his birthday (grandma Linda could not bear to wait til morning to see her first grandchild so she and Don left VB around 4am :) ). We were thrilled to see their faces at the hospital and happy to see some delicious lunch to boot. Gigi and Elvis arrived from South Carolina on the evening of Jack's birthday and were a huge help while Steve and I were in the hospital figuring this parenting thing out. The Dawsons flew in from Houston on Friday and Jack was really happy to meet his aunt and uncle and his cousins, Drew and Wyatt. Drew and Wyatt enjoyed riding on my hospital bed and luckily Saturday morning they were able to hold Jack and see him up close before leaving to head back to Houston. Uncle Jim and Uncle Drew arrived for Thanksgiving on Wednesday and Steve and I were lucky to talk his uncles out of taping his right hand behind his back. Jim is still trying to teach him to say GO WAHOOS and Drew is sure he did hook 'em horns last night. The past 7 days have been awesome and we are looking forward days to come...
Happy Thanksgiving!
Megan and Steve November 15 Jack's BirthdayWell after about 3 hours of what we thought were "false labor fake-outs", we arrived at the Brady Birthing Center at Carteret General. We checked in around 9, and little Jack was born at 3:05 AM on 11/15. I will update you on the gory detail later, but as you can guess, Megan rocked it out! She put up with more "discomfort" than I think I could bare. Little Tunny was 8lbs 3oz and 21.5". Welcome to the world little buddy!
